Roy Matway has more than 40 years of experience involving the technology of ferrous, stainless, and specialty alloys. Specific areas of interest include molten metal processing, thermochemistry and transport kinetics, slag/metal/refractory interactions, physical and mathematical modeling, applied optimization techniques, waste recycling, alloy development, and large-component failure analysis. He was a researcher during the founding of the Center for Iron and Steel Research and continues to play an advisory role.
